artist referrals and Austin trip so far

We did a survey recently of our October and early November artists signups.  Our largest block of sign ups was from Artists Referrals.  I love that!  If we cannot make a difference for artists then why be in business.  All of the whiz bang technology and splashy marketing still do not replace personal service and community.  This will be a key indicator on how we are doing.  If this number shifts down then we know we are missing the mark somewhere.  If that percentage stays high then it is an indicator we continue to meet the needs and make that difference.

I am currently in Austin with Brad, Jozef and Jeff.  We have had a broad range of meetings and we continue to seek out new and creative avenues to promote Indie content.

Look for the Song Trust's new single "Bring Him Home Santa."  We are distributing this song for the Song Trust and it shipped to Country Radio this week.

Norway popped up again this week thanks to a referral from Edward JohnIslandfield has created his storefront.  Hopefully we will get to meet Edward and Islandfield soon in Nashville.

Cherie pushed a new Speakerheart MySpace page yesterday.  It looks GREAT!

this week's Christophers and new web banners

We had a great Wednesday night at Christopher's.  Very eclectic group that included bluegrass, jazz and folk rock.  It was great to see the fans of all those bands and genres together in one room.   Check out Cheyenne Medders and  The Farewell Drifters

We had great calls this week with an indie label and an indie producer about some very interesting content opportunities.  Hopefully we will have those tracks announced and ingested right after Thanksgiving.

Check out David Pack's new myspace page that our Artist Services team redesigned for him.  You can also see a few of the personalized web banners that our team did for some artists.  Let us know if we can help you.

Got to run, my 1 year old is on the loose.

Adobe bug fixed, Yeah!!!

We deployed the workaround and now we are rocking and rolling.  We also completed our October earnings payouts on Friday and distributed the detailed earnings report.

Our ad in American Songwriter is also helping with the current roster available through Speakerheart.

Christopher's has a great lineup tonight and our friends Crew have a show at 12th and Porter.  If you have not checked our our myspace page lately, then please do so.  If you need a hand with a web banner for your web site or help using the Speakerheart shelves, let us know.   Edward John, Damien Horne, Inside Joke, David Pack and Quiet Entertainer are using them well.

If you are in the Franklin/Nashville area give us a shout.
